Meeting Elliott He was taller than me. About ten or seven years older. I met him at the beach, somewhere in Massachusetts. I was "one of the first kids to ever buy a super-soaker" And he said he wanted to try and use it. I offered it to him, but it wouldn't shoot. I think I dropped it in the mud. "Damn": I thought. For some reason, when I was testing it out, to get it to work, I sprayed Elliott Smith with water and mud -- all over him, so his response was to yell at me, and throw sand at me. I got up, crying, and went to my mom. I said, "There was really something weird about that kid." * * * * * * * I walked up to Rachel (my 28 year old neighbor). I was then 35. She introduced me to her four-year old son. Elliott, in a younger age than when I first met him, walked out, reincarnated, and then after taking one look at me, gave me a sly look, and slid behind his mother's legs, and peered at me from behind her, acting scared on purpose. He even moved from left to right a little bit, like I wanted to fight. I stared at him, and intuited who he was. It was weird. I thought, later on .. "I know Suge Knight." "Now Elliott Smith is my neighbor..?" To this day, I will probably not live at my parents house -- and Elliott will live, and grow up "without me" as a neighbor. I might see him waiting for the bus sometime, but I'll never say hi. I'll just shake my head. ..... Some day, I might know him, though. - Brendan S (If you don't know who Aaron / Elliott Smith is, he was a songwriter who went by a first-name basis, with a fake name, did a lot of crack, and eventually killed himself by stabbing himself twice in the heart).
